Job Opportunity: Executive Director - People and Culture

If so, we are working with one of the most well-established housing providers in the UK, to look for their new Executive Director - People and Culture.


About the Role: As Executive Director - People and Culture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's culture, values, and commitment to their employees and the communities they serve.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key member of the executive team, driving strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement, foster diversity and inclusion and a positive work culture, and strengthen their external relationships and reputation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Team, providing insights and recommendations on transformation and organisational design, and talent management, in line with company visions and values.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organisational goals and values.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead communications and media relations,
  • Cultivate strong relationships with employee unions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in a highly regulated environment.


Desired Skills and Experience

* Proven track record of senior leadership experience in HR, at board level, within a not-for-profit, charity, or another regulated sector.

* Extensive experience working with unions

* Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate organisational objectives into actionable HR initiatives.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a focus on creating an inclusive workplace culture.
