Step Start Nurseries is situated in Mountnessing, Essex. We ensure that we provide high standards of childcare and education, monitoring each child individually, and forming close parent partnerships, working closely with our families. We are open from 7am - 6pm, 51 weeks per year, providing care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Our nursery is homely, inviting, safe and stimulating allowing the children to develop in comfort to their full potential through play.

_*Responsibilities: *_
* Lead the planning and implementation of a high-quality early years curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
* Mentor and support the professional development of junior early years educators within the team.
* Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and identify any additional needs.
* Collaborate with the management team to continuously improve the quality of care and education.
* Develop strong partnerships with parents and carers, ensuring open and effective communication about their children's learning and development.
* Ensure the learning environment is safe, engaging, and resources are used creatively to support all areas of learning.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the setting's overall strategy and goals.

_*Requirements: *_
* A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent, with a preference for higher qualifications.
* Experience in an early years setting with a track record of leading and improving educational outcomes.
* Deep understanding of the EYFS, child development, and early years best practices.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all children.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
