Commercial Leader - UK + Ireland

Global Pharmaceutical Company



Main Accountabilities

  • Leads the development and execution of Commercial strategies and implements related activities (schemes, incentives, and promotion), including, but not limited to legacy products. Identifies commercial opportunities – to senior leadership and marketing teams
  • Owns a range of Commercial contracts and leads complex Commercial negotiations to influencing internal and external stakeholders, for all current and future offerings, schemes, incentives, and promotion. Analyses complex data sets to build the required business cases to introduce and/or continue with these offerings.
  • Develops reporting and analytical functions to consolidate quantitative data and performance metrics to evaluate sales and Commercial activity across the company portfolio and the impact of various offerings, schemes, incentives, and promotion.
  • Leads the Local Customer Service functions, including but not limited to order management, invoicing, returns, complaints, deviations and in-market transportation.
  • Maintains compliance with the requirements of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).


Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in business, commerce, finance, or related discipline; an advanced degree
  • Strong commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Thorough understanding of the NHS structure for UK and HSE structure for Ireland


Skills and Experience

  • Strong Commercial acumen
  • Knowledge of Commercial contracting and related channels
  • Extensive experience with Contract Management
  • Advanced negotiation skills, including stakeholder engagement and influencing
  • Ability to create detailed business cases, utilising data to assess business impacts and implications
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel to manage complex data sets, and demonstrated ability to apply strong analytics to develop relevant business insights
  • Project Management expertise
  • Applies strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional team, and enabling functions, to achieve Commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to encourage employee engagement and accountability
  • Accomplishes goals and meets deadlines, both in a self-directed manner, and by motivating others to contribute to team objectives
  • Communicates effectively through both excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrating impactful presentation skills
  • Manages ambiguity and change with agility, and using creative alternatives to resolve challenges
  • Organizes and manage multiple priorities and projects, including concurrent demands and resource limitations
  • Possesses strong – intermediate to advanced – computer skills (MS Office and Teams, CRM, and adept to learn other business software applications)
