Due to continuing international growth ROVOP Inc. have an exciting opportunity for ROV Supervisor, at all levels, to join us on permanent basis. We currently have a number of global projects extending to 2024 and beyond, on dedicated schedules.
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Observe safe working practices and adhere to electrical principles and industry standards.
- Communicate with team members, and onshore management effectively.
- Have the lead role in the completion of task risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Be able to problem solve and conduct project in a professional manner.
- Responsible for ensuring vehicle is correctly maintained, correctly equipped and ready to dive when client requires.
- Supervise launch and recovery operations.
- Complete fault-finding tasks effectively within an acceptable time frame
- Responsible for ensuring constant communication with nominated deck personnel during launch and recovery procedures.
- Understands and ensures the full scope of work is undertaken and all relevant supporting documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring all preventative and general maintenance is carried out and supporting records completed and submitted.
- Fully understands the ROV operational and systems manuals.
- Mentor and asses ROV trainees and pilot techs as required.
- Pilot ROV independently and in all environmental conditions within ROVOP limits and mentor/ supervise other personnel while piloting.
- Complete and submit written technical reports at the end of each offshore cycle relating to all aspects of the project and technical repairs carried out.
- Good knowledge of 3rd party tooling and sensors and able to integrate and fault find accordingly.
- Interface appropriately and effectively with client and project teams.
Successful candidates will have experience, in the operation of one or more of the following:-
• Schilling HD/UHD systems;
• Triton- XLX and XLS systems
• Seaeye - Panther, Cougar and Tiger systems
• Sub-Atlantic - Comanche and Mohican systems
You will also hold a valid competence certificate (in line with IMCA guidelines), BOSIET and offshore medical. Full GWO (preferable). Preference will be given to candidates also holding valid HV certification, a second passport and valid seaman’s certification/books.
