Key Accountabilities:
Key Accountabilities:
- The Factory Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programs for employees within the food manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety regulations, manufacturing processes, and adult learning principles. The Factory Trainer will collaborate with department heads to identify training needs, develop curriculum, and ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Training Program Development:Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and goals.
- Design and develop training programs that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on activities.
- To assist in creating/updating production procedures/manual by taking photos of the process step by step
Training Delivery:
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing employees, ensuring the key trainings get delivered to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Utilise a variety of training methods, such as on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning, to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor and assess training effectiveness, adjusting current training programs as needed.
- Train staff in any position on any shift as required.
- To train any staffs when the new product is launched and to monitor them in terms of correct procedures.
- To continuously teach any staff why they need to follow the procedures by understanding the Technical standard and requirements.
- Ensure documented H&S training is completed for all production staff, for every machine and equipment they use
Food Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all training programs incorporate and reinforce food safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations, integrating this knowledge into training programs.
- Understand the BRC technical requirement (HACCP, Document Control, Training Schedule)
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of employee training completion and performance in line with BRC standards in a timely manner and update training metrics and employees’ training records on the HR system
- Generate reports to track training metrics and assess the impact of training programs on employee performance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and update training programs to reflect changes in processes, technology, and regulations.
- Solicit feedback from employees and management to identify areas for improvement in training content and delivery.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between training initiatives and overall business objectives.
- Build positive relationships with employees, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
New employee Induction
- Ensure full 2 days induction program to be completed for new starters which provides them key learning and understanding on company policies and procedures.
- Ensure new employee knowledge assessment for the department is completed post 4 weeks of their start date.
- Ensure new employees are trained in all machines they will be working with.
Key Aspects of Job
- Understanding BRC Technical Standard in their areas and making sure that they should be implemented daily.
- Have ownership of their responsibilities and make sure the members of their team clearly understand what they need to do on a daily basis.
- To try to create a positive working environment with the members of their team.
- To report daily issues including personnel to their line managers in a timely manner.
- Making sure all staff understand and follow all procedures throughout the factory.
- Have ownership of the duties in the area that you are assigned to in any aspect of operation including machinery, personnel training, and technical requirement.
Key Measures of success:
What you’ll need:
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene Standards in the food manufacturing industry
- Proven experience as a trainer or in a similar role
- Good understanding of the operation and products
- High level of reliability and flexibility is required to cover different shifts for the training
- Punctuality is essential.
- Good communication and organisational skill
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Relevant training certifications (e.g., Train the Trainer, Food Safety Certification) are beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Desirable to speak other languages.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in the food manufacturing industry within FMCG environment.
