SQL Server DBA is required by a leading engineering company based in Congleton in East Cheshire working at enterprise level within a hybrid working culture across two/three days onsite a week.

As SQL Server DBA you will be accountable for supporting a global IT infrastructure across a 24/7 team ensuring data integrity and the availability across technology systems. Additionally you will be responsible for planning and implementing database upgrades, migrations, and expansions to support the organization's growth and evolving data needs.

The SQL Server DBA will manage and provision the database infrastructure, ensuring data security, integrity, and availability, and optimizing database performance. This role requires a deep understanding of database management systems, data modelling, and database security.

As SQL Server DBA there is a real opportunity, to innovate database systems and resources within an enterprise-level environment and further enhance your profile in challenging technology with good potential for further progression and recognition in a flexible and inclusive work place.


SQL Server DBA permanent profile required.

  • Accomplished background in administering SQL Server databases at enterprise level.
  • Well practised in performance tuning and query optimization and schema refineent in T-SQL.
  • Seasoned in disaster and recovery and administering high availability.
  • Have attained certification in the following MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP are beneficial.
  • Experience of backups, restores, and recovery models (VEEAM advantageous.
  • Have a degree in computer science or mathematics or another similar discipline.


SQL Server DBA permanent contract details include.

Start date: ASAP.

Contract: Permanent.

Salary: Up to £70,000 base salary + benefits.

Location: Congleton, UK – hybrid working culture 2/3 days in the office.
