My Client
My client is a heritage food brand with over 100 years of history, supplying high-quality products to major retailers and distributors across the UK, US, Europe, and China. With 60% of their business coming from international markets, they are experiencing rapid growth, with a 15-20% increase in the last two years and a five-year plan to double production volume.
About the Role
As the Demand and Supply Planner, you will be instrumental in driving demand consistency and ensuring seamless materials movement across the supply chain. You will work closely with Sales, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to refine forecasting processes and align supply with business needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, customer insights, and market trends
- Work closely with Sales and Commercial teams to integrate promotions, product launches, and seasonality into demand planning
- Support international and domestic supply chain operations, managing forecasts across key global markets
- Optimise production scheduling to maximise efficiency and reduce costs in the packing room
- Assist in procurement planning, ensuring the right materials and packaging are available at the right time
- Drive sustainability initiatives, ensuring supply chain processes align with the company's environmental commitments
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or forecasting, ideally within the food manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems such as Sage X3 or SAP
