Job Description

What your new role will entail;

Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in England & Wales are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team. The team are delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies, contractors and international projects. This role represents a great opportunity to develop your career as a project manager, delivering a diverse range of projects in a leading role.

You will be responsible for the following:

Client facing role with ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of projects
Administering the contract to deliver projects to cost and programme, ensuring the successful commercial performance of your projects
Responsible for the change control process by documenting early warnings, preparing variations and change requests, then negotiate and implement change with the client
Preparing and maintain design programmes, identifying key risks, dependencies and resources
Identifying and monitoring of project risks and opportunities, assessing and implementing mitigation measures as required
Administering projects under various forms of contracts, such as NEC
Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests to achieve desired project outcomes
Managing multidisciplinary teams across the business
Managing subcontractor and supply chain performance
Building strong relationships with client and members of the cross-functional team
Undertaking bid management for design tenders for standalone projects and framework contracts

Being part of the team;

You will be key member of the Water Engineering Team. You will enjoy a variety of projects through all project stages from concept design through to construction support and as-builts. Opportunities available to work on infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects as part of a strong team of circa 164 Engineers across all disciplines.

Qualifications

Here's what we will need from you;

Experience in managing delivery of projects in water engineering.
Strong collaboration and coordination skills between teams, clients and stakeholders
Strong commercial awareness with experience in monitoring and control of engineering budgets, change management
Experience in bid management and preparation of design fee proposals
A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject
Chartered Engineer Status (or working towards)
