The Role:

We’re looking for an Assistant Building Manager to support the Building Manager in overseeing daily operations, resident services, leasing activities, and overall property management of this high end build to rent scheme in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate interested in building a career in property management (BTR) and leasing, playing a pivotal role in both resident experience and occupancy management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident & Leasing Services: Act as the primary contact for prospective and current residents, conducting property tours, managing lease applications, renewals, and ensuring a high standard of resident experience.
  • Leasing Management: Support occupancy goals by engaging with potential residents, managing leasing inquiries, and assisting in marketing efforts to attract new tenants.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate routine maintenance, address repair requests, and work with contractors to uphold property standards.
  • Community Engagement: Assist in planning resident events and community initiatives, fostering a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety regulations, health, and fire protocols, maintaining compliance with all safety standards.
  • Operational Support: Contribute to budgeting, maintain vendor relationships, and support daily property operations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including leasing agreements, maintenance logs, and resident communications.


Requirements:

  • Experience in property management, leasing, or facilities management preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong time management
  • Knowledge of leasing practices and health and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software
