Blair West and RDX Works are teaming up to find a Qualified Finance manager to join a fully remote finance function. RDX Works are a business focused on developing blockchain technology and decentralised finance solutions with ambitious growth plans – reporting to the Group FC you will be tasked with the following:



The opportunity:


  • Ensure adequate and effective financial controls (such as Balance Sheet reconciliations) are in place to guarantee accurate and reliable Group financial statements.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial accounts and the completion of the month-end process in NetSuite.
  • Oversee the timely completion of statutory audit testing.
  • Prepare and submit Company annual returns, e.g., Confirmation Statements.
  • Produce technical accounting papers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A Finance Manager to ensure the timely production of management accounts and Board Decks.
  • Liaise with members of the Group’s Executive Team to understand the commercial nature and substance of crypto-accounting transactions.
  • Complete crypto-currency accounting for the Group’s investment subsidiary and associated exchanges.
  • Prepare and maintain workings and technical papers with respect to the Group’s crypto-currency accounting methodology.
  • Prepare workings (including those relating to crypto-currency gains or losses) and provide financial information to facilitate the completion of the Group Corporation Tax return.
  • Identify and monitor risks relating to the Group’s corporation tax structure.
  • Implement and operate controls to ensure the Group remains VAT compliant.
  • Complete quarterly Group VAT returns in NetSuite.
  • Reconcile output and input and control VAT accounts periodically.
  • Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to implement a new employee share scheme.
  • Lead the implementation of a new employee crypto-currency token scheme.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within finance operations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial processes.
  • Providing support in the delivery of ad-hoc projects to drive strategic outcomes.



You’ll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:


  • Hold a Finance Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Have a strong understanding of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
  • Possess knowledge of tax, although not essential
  • Be experienced in the use of NetSuite, again not essential.
  • Have a strong Business Partnering background as you engage with various departments to ensure cohesive business operations.
  • Have experience in taking ownership of month-end close processes.
  • Ensure timely completion of accounts to expedite board pack preparation.
  • Have trained in Audit, with a background in practice, ideally with experience in a Big 4 firm – this is purely advantageous and not essential.
  • Be somebody who is confident in their ability to work autonomously.
  • Ideally, be somebody who understands the Crypto market.
