Your Role at BT:

As a Network Engineer at BT, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain, Implement, and Troubleshoot Networks: Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.
  • Design New Network Systems: Contribute to designing innovative network systems and infrastructure to meet evolving demands.
  • Support Implementations and Migrations: Assist in implementing new solutions, migrations, or design changes to enhance our network capabilities.
  • Ensure Service Continuity: Work to ensure uninterrupted operation of services, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.
  • Embrace Network Automation: Utilize programming technologies like Python and embrace NetDevOps practices, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.


Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Network Engineer, ideally with 3 years or more of experience. Knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS XR and Junos is a plus.
  • Certifications: Cisco certification or equivalent experience with Cisco products or Juniper (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIA) is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Python, Scripting, Bash, Shell, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenShift, etc.
  • Enterprise-Level Experience: Experience working with, dictating, and designing elements of enterprise or carrier-grade networks. Experience in Low-Level Design (LLD) and ideally High-Level Design (HLD).
