Role: Operations Manager
Salary: £55K will look at a 3-day working week.
Location: London/Remote working (monthly meetings)
Contract: FTC- initially a 3-month contract (poss temp to perm option.)
We are currently collaborating with a national refugee charity to assist in the recruitment of an operations manager. The ideal candidate should have a strong financial background. The role involves overseeing the organisation's finances, HR, and logistics, with a key reporting responsibility to funders and the Board. The operations manager will be part of the Senior Management Team, contributing to both day-to-day issue resolution and strategic development. In this capacity, the manager will ensure that the decision-making of the Senior Management Team and the Board is well-informed by a strong understanding of the organisation's financial position and liabilities.
Essential Experience/Skills
- Significant experience of organisational finance systems
- Experience of developing organisational and project budgets across multiple income streams
- Experience of financial reporting
- Experience of using standard accounting software packages
- Advanced excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrable experience of overseeing secure and effective organisational IT infrastructure
- Entrepreneurialism, flexibility and willingness to ‘muck in’
Desirable Experience/Skills
- Experience of working in an HR function
- An accounting qualification
- Experience of processing payroll
- Line Management experience
- Experience of working within a charity either as a volunteer or staff member
