Head of Private Client/Partner 7 years PQE+ up to circa £85,000 dep on experience – New Malden, Surrey, hybrid working

Our client is a well-regarded, long-standing law firm with a strong presence in Surrey. Deeply rooted in the local community, the firm has built trust through years of dependable service and strong relationships. They are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join the firm as Head of Department, with the added benefit of a salaried partnership.

The role

You will be responsible for leading the department and driving business development efforts, an area that has been underutilised in the past. This role offers significant potential, with an existing full caseload and a focus on expanding and maximizing growth opportunities within this sector.

You will manage a team of 5 which includes 2 Probate Executives and 3 Fee Earner Support staff.


What they are looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with at least 7 years PQE
  • Technically strong in all aspects of Wills and Probate
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Proven experience in developing business
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, clear thinking and able to carry out case work accurately
  • Practical, calm and common-sense approach to problem solving
