Job type: This is a permanent role. We are looking for candidates who can work for a substantial proportion of the working week, although not necessarily full time.

About Delta Hat

Delta Hat is a consultancy based near Nottingham providing industry-leading analysis to the pharmaceutical sector, as well as directly supporting UK health technology assessment (HTA) decision-makers. We focus on technical aspects of evidence-based medicine and HTA, utilising methods such as cost-effectiveness modelling, propensity scoring, and meta-analysis including for survival and longitudinal endpoints. Responsibilities

Day-to-day work will depend on your background and experience, though will most likely involve leading projects involving data analysis (such as health-related quality of life data, time-to-event data, etc.) or evidence synthesis (such as meta-analysis, indirect treatment comparison, etc.). The main tools we use are R, for analysis, and Microsoft Office applications. You will have responsibility from the outset and be encouraged to further develop in line with your interests and skillset.

Role requirements

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in using and developing statistical skills in a professional environment, with a proven track record of delivering projects. This may be in consulting, academia, the pharmaceutical industry, or a combination. Given the variety of work we undertake, we are open to statisticians with different types of experience, though ideally any experience would be in a field related to life sciences and/or evidence-based medicine.

Although experience is paramount, we anticipate that you hold a degree at 2:1 or above in an analytical subject (for instance mathematics, economics, engineering or scientific subject). Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MSc or PhD) involving statistics or health economics are highly valued, but not an absolute requirement. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
