The Role


You’ll will play a key role in evolving the direction of Citation’s group wide software platform Atlas – our Business Services Hub which supports hundreds of thousands of users from businesses across the UK and globally. Designed to streamline day-to-day activities, Atlas puts clients in full control of their compliance and quality responsibilities. With plans to take the platform to the next level this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be bold and think big on how Atlas can support the SME space.

We have an amazing Product Team, you’ll be steered by our Product Design Lead and join a team of other designers and researchers to get creative and bounce ideas from. You’ll get to obtain research on various products to ensure we put the client’s needs at the heart of our products.


As a UX researcher, you'll need to:

  • Work closely with the Product team to understand the vision of the Atlas platform.
  • Help to build upon our current research methods to gather continual feedback.
  • Plan, design and conduct user testing processes from developing user recruitment through to test moderation, analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct discovery research to gather insights for new product and concept developments.
  • Actively balance client research with market trends and business aspirations to validate assumptions and hypotheses.
  • Model insights gained from user research into formats to enhance understanding of our users – such as personas and user journey maps.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with users with varying degrees of technical proficiency, industry and Atlas platform knowledge.
  • Be able to distil your research into key insights, and using your great verbal communication skills, present your research findings succinctly to your peers and stakeholders.
  • Work closely within a multidisciplinary team, including product managers/owners, other UX researchers, UX/product designers, and web developers.
  • Support the team with creating research led culture promoting user cantered design principles and best practice across our thinking.


We are looking for some who has:

  • Experience in software research.
  • Understands and can practice various research methods.
  • Experience of using prototyping software tools.
  • Enthusiasm for design and technology.
  • The ability to operate with ease in a fast paced and demanding business.
  • Understanding of Agile and Sprint based development.
