The Role

We are looking for a Senior Energy & Carbon Analyst to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Energy and Carbon Programme Manager, this dynamic role will see you drive impactful initiatives and lead the technical review, analysis, and guidance that underpins the success of our decarbonisation schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Oversight: Ensure the completion of high-quality technical reviews of financing applications for decarbonisation projects.
  • Team Leadership: Manage Energy and Carbon Analysts, delegating tasks, offering performance feedback, and conducting reviews.
  • External Collaboration: Oversee and monitor the work of external technical consultants, ensuring assessments meet both quality standards and deadlines.
  • Data Insights: Conduct analysis across various schemes, providing insights that inform future funding and government reports.
  • Client Liaison: Lead client communications to resolve complex technical queries and provide expert support.
  • Reporting: Produce regular performance updates and detailed reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Site Audits: Participate in audits of Salix-funded projects across the UK, ensuring compliance and optimisation opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification.
  • Work experience in energy services, sustainability, or building decarbonisation.
  • Expertise in energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies.
  • Experience managing a team and delivering projects within deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
