MERJE is looking for a Senior Claims Technician to join a leading Insurance company in the UK. As a Senior Claims Technician, you will be responsible for handling complex Property claims, such as fire or flood. This is a technical role that requires extensive experience in handling high-value and complex commercial property claims, with a settlement of at least £500k.

The Role
As a Senior Claims Technician, you will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of claims with a potential of £500K+ from notification through to settlement. You will deliver excellent customer service whilst maintaining accurate estimating and controlling indemnity spend. You will also share your knowledge and support the development of others in your team and in the wider claims community.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Claims Technician:
- Pro-active management of a portfolio of claims with a potential of £500K+ from notification through to settlement.
- Delivering excellent customer service whilst maintaining accurate estimating and controlling indemnity spend.
- Sharing your knowledge and supporting the development of others in your team and in the wider claims community.
- Building excellent working relationships with Loss Adjusters and other suppliers.
- Regular communication with policyholders and their representatives and underwriting colleagues.
Required knowledge and experience for the Senior Claims Technician role:
- Extensive experience in handling high-value and complex commercial property claims, with a settlement of at least £500k.
- Educated to A-Level or degree standard, or have an equivalent professional qualification (ACII/FCII/CILA).
- An inspiring leader with empathy and flexibility of approach to achieve effective outcomes.
- Able to deliver exceptional service to your customers.
- Developed communication and interpersonal skills and influencing and negotiating skills.
