Inventory Manager

Perfect Candidate are pleased to be working with a leading supplier of fasteners and hardware for defence and aerospace applications. Products range from nuts, bolts, screws and rivets, through to bearings, seals, labels and hydraulic fittings. Our client is fully accredited to AS9120 Rev B and AS9100 Rev D, and hold many OEM manufacturer approvals.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting, newly created role and successful candidates will be leading the inventory management activities across the company's global businesses. You will work in strong collaboration with senior teams including sales, purchasing and finance to optimise inventory.
The role seeks a candidate with strong analytical skills and a strong understanding of large BID process within Aerospace and Defence markets.
MAIN DUTIES
• Responsible for the monthly reporting against all inventory segmentations/classifications
• Ownership/co-ordination of the actions associated with all supplier rescheduling.
• Responsible for quarterly reviews (with the account managers) of all non-moving/under using parts.
• The completion, with the support of shared services, of all analysis and integration of tools such as the line of balance.
• Effective management of the Runners, Repeaters, Strangers and Aliens process including the setting of target inventory levels.
• Working with the KAM’s to determine the accuracy and frequency of customer forecasts that are driving he is purchasing activity.
• Control of the obsolete provisioning calculation and reporting.
• Interaction with the purchasing teams to ensure supplier order books on are matched to the advised demand profile and stocking requirement.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• 10 years plus experience in a similar role.
• Expert level skills with excel etc.
• Preferable to have a thorough knowledge of our types of product ranges.
• Aviation experience.
• Highly effective communication skills.
• Must have worked in a dynamic distribution/Supply Chain Management environment.
• Good level of commercial acumen.
• Ideally having worked across international operations.
• Ability to Travel to the US & Asia.
• Educated to degree level.
• Inventory levels tracking to the required trajectory.
• Effective monthly reporting in place that helps support the decision-making process.
• Alignment of thinking and a common purpose established across the teams.
• A clear and visible path to the desire DOH targets for each segment.
• Rapid responses to changes in demand.
• All customers claim issues on time, fully justified and in line with the agreements.
