Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Lead - Remote first - £63,000


Role Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive security awareness programs to foster a strong cybersecurity culture across the organization. Collaborating with stakeholders across IT and OT domains, you will design engaging training materials, manage awareness initiatives, and assess program effectiveness to address evolving cyber threats.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Awareness Program Development: Design and implement security awareness campaigns, integrating existing initiatives and tailoring content for diverse audiences.
  • Training Delivery: Create and deliver interactive training sessions, workshops, and simulations using various formats to meet different learning styles and technical levels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with teams across IT, OT, HR, and leadership to align security training with organizational objectives and policies.
  • Behavioural Change: Identify key human risks, define critical security behaviours, and develop strategies to mitigate risks through communication and training.
  • Metrics and Evaluation: Develop metrics to measure program effectiveness, conduct regular assessments, and refine strategies based on emerging threats and feedback.
  • Vendor and Tool Management: Oversee external vendors and tools related to cybersecurity awareness to ensure alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
  • Engagement and Outreach: Foster participation through gamification, champion programs, and leadership updates on program progress and impact.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, training delivery, and awareness initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, emerging threats, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyse metrics, drive behavioural change, and adapt to new technologies and risks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience designing tailored training programs for technical and non-technical audiences.


This role is integral to building a proactive and informed security culture within the organization, ensuring resilience against evolving cybersecurity challenges.
