Finatal is currently working with one of the fastest-growing financial services businesses in the UK, with recent private equity investment they have doubled in size and opened multiple new offices across the UK. They are expanding through a rapid buy and build strategy and are now looking for their first Data hire to come and consolidate the data from multiple businesses, IT and ERP/CRM systems to allow for analytical insights and data driven decision making in the near future.

Role:

  • Utilising your technical ability, you will pull data from multiple sources external and internal driving the improvement of data quality and developing a single source of truth.
  • You will hire and manage a Data Analyst, training them on how to build meaningful dashboards and reports on Power BI.
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Fivetran, DBT and a snowflake data warehouse to store data ready for analysis.
  • Reporting to the IT Director you will assist with the commercial use of data and overall strategy with the long-term plan to grow out a team.
  • Using experience with data visualisation (benefit of Power BI) you will present insights and recommendations back to key stakeholders including the c-suite.


Requirements:

  • You must have exceptional experience working with DBT, and SQL, and added benefit if you’ve also worked with Snowflake and Fivetran
  • Track record of data engineering role in a greenfield environment, building infrastructure including pipelines and DWH from scratch.
  • Beneficial if you have end-to-end data experience including analysis and visualisation in Power BI with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Data Engineering, Computer Science or any STEM subjects.
