Location: Walsall or Remote with a visit to Walsall once every 2 weeks
Our client is a leading provider of utility connection services, specializing in electricity, gas, water, and telecommunications infrastructure. They are committed to delivering high-quality solutions to clients ensuring the reliability and efficiency of utility networks.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented CAD Technician where you will play a crucial role in the design and development of utility infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and project teams to create detailed CAD drawings and models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with clients to determine project requirements: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project team leaders to assess project requirements and specifications.
- Designing project frameworks: Create project design frameworks using computer-aided design (CAD) software, highlighting significant features and components based on client requirements.
- Gathering information on product specifications: Research and gather information on product specifications, including materials, manufacturing costs, and client product specifications.
- Supervising the creation or manufacture of products: Provide guidance and supervision to manufacturing teams, ensuring that technical drawings are accurately translated into finished products.
- Reviewing existing products: Assist in the modification and improvement of existing products, identifying design flaws and opportunities for enhancement using CAD software.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD software,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of utility infrastructure and construction processes is a plus.
