My client are looking for an number of engineers for their manufacturing site based in Hull.


Main tasks and responsibilities for the role:

  • Maintain the engineering capability of the plant in line with the needs of the business.
  • To monitor and maintain the planned maintenance system.
  • To highlight to the appropriate personnel any potentially serious breakdown situations.
  • To ensure effective crew handovers.
  • To ensure effective communication with all relevant departments.
  • To ensure engineering compliance with Company, site and statutory health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to the upgrade, service and installation of all new and existing equipment.
  • To maintain an adequate supply of essential spares.
  • To support the promotion and maintenance of the team working philosophy.
  • To assist with/arrange the maintenance of site services as appropriate.

  • To ensure knowledge of and compliance with all food safety & quality policies and procedures.
  • To ensure knowledge of and compliance with all health & safety policies and procedures.
  • To assist with the training and development of others.
  • To ensure effective communication.
  • To ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Company policies and procedures.


Shift Pattern:

  • 4 on 4 off 7 to 7. 4 days 4 off 4 nights 4 off


Skills and Experience Required

  • NVQ Level 3 - Electrical Bias
  • Standards and systems: Demonstrates an understanding for compliance and quality of all food safety and quality polices and procedures.

  • Commitment to process and results: Demonstrates a desire to question processes and efficiency and to seek change.
  • Team working: Demonstrates an ability to work as an active and constructive member of a team.
