They are now looking to appoint a Product Development Technologist on a Fixed-term contract basis with the potential for it to become a permanent role. In this role you will support the development and delivery of high-quality and nutritious products.
This role requires a full UK Driving Licence.
The Role
Reporting to the Innovation Controller, you'll support the NPD team through the Stage & Gate process, ensuring smooth product launches. You'll manage timelines, documentation, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring all paperwork is in place for each stage of development while tracking product progress, costs, and regulatory data. You will also review all existing documentation and implement best-in-class working practices for product development.
You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely sample delivery and smooth launches, while staying informed on food trends to contribute to future product development.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are key to keeping projects on track
The Person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for food and an eagerness to learn. You'll have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within chilled food manufacturing.
Additionally, you'll also have experience managing projects and collaborating cross-functionally with teams to ensure seamless product development. A university degree in Food Science or a related field would be a bonus.
You'll have a creative approach to problem-solving, an excellent eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently across multiple tasks. Strong organisational skills are essential to ensure the smooth running of all product development activities.
