Full Stack Engineer, Tech-for-Good (React.js / Typescript)


We're excited to be working with a mission-led FinTech startup looking to hire an exceptional Full Stack Engineer into their growing UK business. Having recently raised a substantial Series A funding round from top investors, they’re now building out their engineering capability and see this as a key hire.


You will report to their Engineering Manager, bringing a passion for frontend development and a good eye for UX/design, while also being competent on the backend.


They are a remote-first business of 100+ employees globally and this Full Stack Engineer position can be based fully-remote in the UK, but with the option to work from the London HQ if it suits you.


As Full Stack Engineer you will:

  • Enhance their B2B customer portal by adding slick UI features for self-onboarding, self-management, and sophisticated metrics and dashboards.
  • Improve their back-office tools to simplify the jobs of the internal teams, including treasury, finance, and customer support.
  • Help define strong front-end standards and good practices, contributing to their front-end culture and chapters.


We want to hear from you if:

  • You have extensive of experience developing web applications in React.js and Typescript as well as consuming web APIs such as RESTful, GraphQL, and gRPC.
  • You have worked in another high-growth startup and understand the need for pragmatism in small engineering teams.
  • You have a keen eye for great UX/design to enhance user interfaces effectively.
  • You have a solid grasp of backend technologies. They use Go, but experience working with any backend language is fine, as long as you're up for learning new things.
  • You have experience writing and maintaining unit tests for UI components to ensure robustness and reliability and experience working in Agile environments, contributing to sprint planning and iterative development.
  • You want to work for a business changing lives for the better with the positive impact of their technology


What do they offer?

  • Salary between £90k-£110k dependent on experience.
  • 35 days off per year + 1 extra in your birthday month.
  • Remote-first setup, with the option to work in the London HQ if you live close-by.
