My client are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial functions on large-scale BESS and transmission infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing contract administration, procurement, cost control, risk management & claims while ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for large-scale BESS and transmission projects.
  • Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and subcontractor management.
  • Implement cost control strategies to optimize project expenditure and improve profitability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide commercial advice to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive project success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within large-scale energy, power, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or similar contracts.
  • Expertise in cost management, procurement, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Construction Management) and professional membership (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB).
