Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our client's expanding team. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, representing clients who have suffered harm due to medical errors or substandard healthcare. You will provide expert legal advice, guide clients through the often complex claims process, and ensure they receive the compensation they deserve, all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad caseload of clinical negligence claims, including misdiagnosis, surgical errors, medication mistakes, and failure to provide appropriate care.
  • Provide clear and expert legal advice to clients about their rights, legal options, and the potential outcomes of their clinical negligence cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including letters of claim, witness statements, expert reports, settlement proposals, and court applications.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, settlement discussions, and at hearings or trials as necessary.
  • Assess the value of clinical negligence claims, considering liability, damages, medical evidence, and other relevant legal factors.
  • Coordinate with medical professionals, expert witnesses, insurers, and other key parties to gather information and drive cases forward.
  • Manage case files and client records, ensuring full compliance with legal procedures, deadlines, and regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional client service, maintaining clear and empathetic communication throughout the legal process, and providing consistent support.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in clinical negligence law.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical negligence law, including claim assessment, medical evidence analysis, settlement negotiations, and court procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and medical concepts in a clear, empathetic manner.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently, demonstrating both efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of client care.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a focus on providing the highest standard of client service.
