Due to continued growth, we have an exciting new role for a Reliability Engineer to join our Basingstoke team. The Basingstoke site incorporates a range of facilities, including specialist manufacturing, laboratories, and a logistics center.


As the Reliability Engineer / Maintenance Improvement Engineer, you will own the continuous improvement program within the site engineering team, while also being responsible for compliance with EHS & Quality for site, company, and legislative systems. You will drive improvements in performance to deliver superior customer service, safely and compliantly.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Identifying, developing, and implementing safety processes and systems to meet site, corporate, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring Safe Systems of Work are in place and promoting safe working through staff coaching and hazard observation
  • Coordinating compliance and managing site/department shutdowns to minimize business impact
  • Using problem-solving tools (Root Cause Countermeasure) to address performance issues and eliminate waste in maintenance systems
  • Promoting a Practical Performance Improvement (PPI) culture, including problem solving and Kaizen activities


We’re looking for someone with the following skills, experience, and qualifications:


  • Experience working in an engineering role within a heavily regulated manufacturing setting, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, FMCG, or food production
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience in the practical application of LEAN manufacturing tools and techniques within a production environment
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application in the workplace
  • IOSH qualification
  • Degree or qualifications in Engineering
