Company Description
Salesologists are the consultancy acting on behalf of a fantastic Client, a privately owned consumer goods manufacturer who are a major player in their market with a long history of deep strategic partnerships as category champions across a portfolio of own label and branded products.
This role is heavily focussed on managing the Asda account.
Role Description
This is a hybrid role 60% on site for a Senior National Account Manager located in the South Yorkshire area managing the Asda account + 1 other retailer.
The Senior National Account Manager will be responsible for managing 2 Retail national accounts and recent Asda experience is essential.
You will be developing and implementing sales strategies/JBP's using category insight and customer understanding, building strong client relationships and cross matrix networks, delivering NPD pipelines around seasonal campaigns and category expansion, driving revenue and margin growth through effective sales tactics and negotiation, and developing great collobrative working relationships with the internal supply chain, finance and factory functions etc to ensure smooth running and to maximise the opportunities for account performance improvement.
The role will be supported by an account exec who you will manage the development of as well.
My Client is open to those on both the Sales side as well as the Buyers side….its all about understanding and demonstrating recent relevant experience of developing Asda and understanding their systems.
Qualifications
- Recent experience of Asda account management and a strong understanding of the customer and systems.
- Strong own label experience
- Branded consumer goods experience
- Well developed negotiation and communication skills
- Demonstrable commercial understanding and track record of managing large P&L's
- Solid Category Management experience
- Strong experience of delivering NPD from conception to success
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and drive the agenda buillding JBP's that deliver
- Experience in consumer goods / FMCG
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and a flexible mindset
- Proven ability to 'get into the weeds' of your own company and build great cross functional relationships internally to maximise potential of your accounts and in guiding cross matrix contact strategies with customers to ensure smooth running
