Job Description

We are looking to employ a suitably qualified QA/QC Manager to join our team.

They will be responsible for maintaining the companies ISO 9001 accreditations as well as managing the overall quality control and quality assurance aspects of the companies operation.

Workshop facility located in Skelton for the fabrication of hot rolled structural steelwork for light and heavy industrial structures, portal frames, multi-storey frames, baggage handling mezzanines, trusses, modules, pipe racks and supports.

The candidate’s responsibilities will extend to cover sub-contractors fabrication work, on site steelwork and cladding works, client representation and the overall focal point for the company.

Must have relevant experience in structural steelwork industry.

Applicants

Require a strong background in welding and fabrication, this includes welding inspection and documentation building of LTQR’S and review of packs with at least six years of experience.

Able to represent the company at client quality meetings, this includes agreeing the framework for the quality documentation before the projects gets underway, work closely with the client project quality teams forming good working relationships with them.

Understand the issue and close out of NCR’s both internal and external, issue of NOI’s for client inspections at our fabrication facility.

The testing of welders and a sound understanding of NDT is required, also review of codes and standards for the company.

Carry out audits at outside fabrication facilities (sub-contractors)

Understand and help guide the site teams on quality issues, be able to help and advise on the content of the site packs with clients and our site teams.

Also the applicant must have a proven track record in quality management.
