About you
You will be a Management Accountant looking to step into a broad partnering role, working alongside your finance colleagues to drive value across the organisation, working predominantly outside of finance, with non-finance stakeholders. You will be personable, patient and pragmatic and enjoy an environment and role that is ever changing.
The role
The primary objective of the role is to act as a business partner to the sites and support the Financial Controller, working alongside and supporting senior leaders, assisting in implementing efficient and scalable financial processes and advising on best practice. The role will be mainly historic facing, focusing on management accounting, business partnering, analysis and audit/stat accounting whilst also taking an active role in the implementation of all systems, processes and controls necessary to build a finance function which is fit for purpose as the company continues to grow rapidly.
As Finance Business Partner your role will include but not be limited to
- Provide analysis and actionable insight on the key drivers of each Site’s financial performance.
- Demonstrate understanding of the business, our strategic goals and industry setting through commercial reviews, forecasts, and analyses
- Monthly reporting and monitoring of key performance drivers and the development of relevant KPIs
- Build relationships with and provide guidance for Site SLTs ensuring they fully understand the monthly finance processes and reporting through the business partnering cycle
- Implement and monitor controls and processes within the business to ensure services are run on a sound commercial footing
- Partner with operational teams to improve quality of data and reporting and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Drive a collaborative approach to support company initiatives and best practices, optimising for Spaghetti bridge rather than the individual function
- Balance sheet reporting and control
- Monthly management accounts production
- Liaising with external accountants
- Assist with preparation of Annual Audited Accounts
- Development of Netsuite ERP to ensure full exploitation of the system
- Assist with development of all processes, systems, controls, best practice
- Work with the wider finance team to ensure the entire finance strategy is delivered
- Participate as an active member of the Finance team, including contributing to special projects as experience and workload permit
- Travel to sites where appropriate to further enhance operational relationships and finance visibility
- Addressing day to day queries from various stakeholders
- Support FC with any other areas not specified above as required
