We are looking for a detail-focused Motion Designer to join our design team. The brands we create do not sit still and our motion team is embedded from the start of every project.


Key responsibilities

  • Produce outstanding creative work to constantly challenge the level of BGN’s output.
  • Work confidently alone as well as in a team, being able to meet deadlines.
  • Have flexibility and willingness to work from the conceptual phase to delivery across multiple projects, crafting moving assets, films and other forms of animation.
  • Working collaboratively with other motion designers, brand designers and developers.
  • Support the motion design team to ensure that work is well executed and delivered on time.
  • Take part in occasional client calls throughout a project.


Skills and experience

  • Experience - A minimum of 2 years experience with a primary focus on motion.
  • Great showreel - A strong portfolio and showreel of animation work. Either commercial or self-initiated projects.
  • Design understanding - Have a good understanding of design principles and work confidently with typography, photography, illustration and any kind of imagery necessary to produce animation.
  • Conceptual thinker - Be able to implement traditional animation principles into branding and to come up with new unique overarching concepts to guide motion graphics.
  • Broad tool-kit - High level of skill in After Effects and a good understanding of Adobe CC.
  • Bonus toolkit - Experience in 3D, editing and frame-by-frame animation. Coding, colour grading, audio production, AR and VR are a bonus.

  • Up to £30k per annum. Based on experience

  • Hybrid working: The team work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be based in our Manchester studio
