SQL Data Analyst


This is a full-in-office working role in Horsham, West Sussex.

Stratospherec is proud to be recruiting for a fast-growing UK Fintech SaaS company that produces a market-leading Finance SaaS platform used by Finance companies across the UK and Europe.


We are looking for a SQL Data Analyst to work with our client's award-winning SaaS system.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of all data, reporting requirements, and requests for the business.
  • Gather, understand, and document detailed customer requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Develop standard and custom reports to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Establish and maintain automated data processes.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain reports for the management, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Analyse data and generate meaningful outputs for board-level review.
  • Design dashboards and visual tools to facilitate user understanding of the data.
  • Monitor and audit data quality.
  • Manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex data, presenting it in an accessible format for users.
  • Maximise the potential of the data warehouse.
  • Dive into reports to gain insights from user behaviour when necessary.
  • Promote the importance of and encourage the adoption of a data-driven culture within the business.



Skills & Experience


  • At least two years of SQL experience at an intermediate level.
  • Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
  • Previous data analyst experience.
  • Power BI experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Exceptional numerical skills.
  • Proficient in SQL and Excel, including data cleaning, formatting, text manipulation, lookup formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate findings through clear visual, written, and verbal communication
