Profile: SAP S/4HANA Lead Trainer

As a SAP S/4HANA Lead Trainer, you will leverage your extensive SAP consulting background to prepare, deliver, and follow up on comprehensive SAP/S4HANA trainings. Your expertise will support a global team of IT trainers, providing them with advanced knowledge, troubleshooting assistance, capacity planning, and upskilling opportunities. You will play a critical role in enhancing the overall training program, ensuring it aligns with modern, innovative methods while maintaining high standards of quality and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Support and Upskilling:

  • Provide functional support to a global team of IT trainers, sharing advanced knowledge and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Assist in capacity planning and upskilling efforts to ensure the team remains adept with the latest SAP/S4HANA functionalities.

Training Development:

  • Collaborate with other trainers to continuously improve existing training concepts, integrating innovative and modern training methods.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute train-the-trainer sessions with ZEISS to-be trainers.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute end-user training sessions and/or support ZEISS trainers in doing so.

Effectiveness and Documentation:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning measures after implementation, document experiences, and communicate insights internally to foster continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

SAP-Expertise:

  • 5 years‘ experience in SAP and S/4HANA training and consulting on a global scale, with a proven track record in the field of software and IT solutions is essential.
  • Implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA training projects is essential.
  • Detailed knowledge about serial numbers is desirable.
  • Expert knowledge in a minimum of 2 specific SAP Modules including:
  • SAP production planning (SAP PP)
  • SAP materials management (SAP MM)
  • SAP Variant Configuration / Advanced Variant Configuration VC/AVC
  • SAP Quality Management (QM)
  • SAP Procure to Pay (P2P)
  • SAP Inventory Management / Extended Warehouse Management / Transportation Management (IM/EWM/TM)
  • SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO)
  • SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD)
  • SAP Customer Service (SAP CS)


Training Plan Development:

  • Proficient in creating training plans and materials, coordinating, and implementing training concepts.

Communication and Presentation:

  • Exceptional hands-on mentality in communicating knowledge and content, with the ability to simplify and explain complex topics.

Technical Know-How:

  • Proficient across the entire Microsoft platform, especially Office and Teams.
  • Experience working with SAP Enable Now during training execution.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in another language such as French, Chinese or German is an added advantage.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of discrete industries is needed.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering, high-tech, optics, and semiconductors is helpful.

Additional skills:

  • Experience in managing cross functional resources in a global environment.
  • Strong Change Management experience.
  • Experience in owning and managing the end-to-end rollout of global IT related training projects.
  • Experience in capacity planning and upskilling.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for business and training purposes. Travel will be approx. 25%.
