Senior Project Manager - Waste and Clean Water

As the Senior Project Manager you will oversee the installation of sewerage and water networks, including pump stations and rising mains. Managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction while leading a team of staff and contractors.


Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Project Leadership: Direct the installation, testing, and commissioning of waste and clean water services, ensuring alignment with company standards
  • Health and Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety protocols throughout all phases of projects, ensuring that staff and contractors adhere to approved procedures
  • Client Relations: Serve as the company representative, maintaining professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions with clients and contractors
  • Customer Satisfaction: Balance project execution with client needs, addressing any complaints or issues promptly to maintain strong relationships
  • Construction Oversight: Ensure safe and compliant construction of network assets, adhering to approved methods and specifications
  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage direct labor and contractors, oversee variations, and maintain a detailed site diary for project activities.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical guidance to clients, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth operations and compliance
  • Productivity Monitoring: Track project progress to ensure timely completion within budget, minimising material waste and optimising resource use


Criteria of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Significant experience in managing clean and waste water networks, including pump stations and rising mains
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation, technical standards, and industry best practices in utility management
  • NRSWA supervisor card
  • SHEA card and/or CSCS registration
  • Confined space and deep excavation qualifications
  • Valid SMSTS competency
