Associate Architect

Our client is a well-established, medium-sized architectural firm that has been serving the Oxfordshire area for over 40 years. Job Summary

I am seeking an experienced Associate Architect to join a dynamic team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development, team management, and financial oversight, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural processes and the ability to manage projects within specified timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage projects across all RIBA stages, from initial design through to final delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of architects and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Drive business development initiatives to attract new clients and expand the project portfolio.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.
  • Handle financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost management, and margin analysis.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, including the Building Safety Act and high/low-rise building requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering architectural projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project timelines, budgeting, and financial management.
  • ARB and RIBA qualified.
  • Desirable: Experience with the Building Safety Act and familiarity with high-rise and low-rise building projects.
