Title: Software Engineer - Embedded Linux

Type: Permanent

Location: South London


About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a background in embedded Linux user-space software stack. You will be joining a leading Space company on their space and satellite missions. You will make a real impact on the next generation of computing platforms within the space industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Make a direct impact within the space industry helping build a new team
  • Work on the design and development of space communication systems.
  • Work on Linux embedded systems.
  • Design and implement the full software stack, from low level drivers to high-level product applications, predominantly within the Linux user-space environment


Required Experience:

  • Bachelors / Masters in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Industry experience within the space, satellite or telecoms sector
  • Strong background with embedded Linux
  • Experienced with Yocto or Buildroot
  • 3-5 years experience working with C and C++
  • Bonus: Experience scripting with python or bash
  • Bonus: Knowledge of ARM
