Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer


Main Purposes and Scope of Job: Ensuring the quality of products against agreed specifications and supporting the Technical Team as and when required.


Reporting to: Technical Manager


Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• To check finished products against the technical specification. This is to include random

weight & metal detection checks.

• To check the level of hygiene around the factory premises and taking action where

appropriate.

• To ensure daily paperwork is completed within the factory. This is to include weights,

temperatures, and cleaning records, start up checks, metal detection, packaging traceability,

sieving records and any other similar records within the quality system.

• To complete detergent & disinfectant strengths and action accordingly.

• To complete calibration checks on temperature probes and scales.

• To assist with checks to incoming ingredients and packaging materials.

• To assist with internal auditing where appropriate.

• Filing of daily records.

• To assist with the printing of product labels.

• To sample products for microbiological testing and complete the associated paperwork.

• To liaise with the Food Technologists in the Technical Manager’s absence with investigations

into customer complaints and technical issues as requested.

• To assist with other issues and tasks as deemed appropriate by the Technical Manager
