We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our clients growing team in Cramlington.

In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical fitting, working with precision parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, all while following engineering drawings and technical specifications.


You’ll carry out final testing and commissioning on systems, raising any non-conformance issues as needed. You will work towards set deadlines to meet performance targets and customer delivery commitments, ensuring all products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.


Health & Safety is a top priority, and you’ll be expected to maintain high standards in this area. Additionally, you will install, test, and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.


To excel in this role, you must be able to interpret engineering drawings and accurately apply instructions to achieve the required product quality. Experience using hand tools, grinders, and drills is essential, as is familiarity with a range of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components.


Candidates should hold an Engineering Apprenticeship qualification within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment, or possess a relevant recognised qualification or extensive industry experience.


We are looking for someone with good communication and interpersonal skills, a professional approach to customer interactions, and a flexible attitude towards working hours. You should be systematic, organised, and attentive to detail, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to high standards of craftsmanship.
