The NPD Technologist will play a crucial role in the development of innovative food products from concept to commercialization. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where creativity and passion for food are valued.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, research and development, quality assurance, and production to develop new food products that meet consumer needs and market trends.
  • Craft and refine product formulations, taking into account taste, texture, nutritional value, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation, including formulations, specifications, and production records.
  • Support in the preparation of food labeling and customer specifications, stepping in for the Specifications Manager when necessary. Verify that final products, including packaging, align with customer Brand guidelines before obtaining customer approval.
  • Ensure compliance with TAFC Health and Safety and Environmental standards and policies in all operations under your purview, guaranteeing a secure working atmosphere for all staff, visitors, and contractors while minimising environmental impact.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Food Science Degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • 3 years of demonstrable experience
  • Previous experience within a customer facing role
  • Analytical and self motivated individual with good planning skills.
