Business Relationship Manager
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Relationship Manager to join a global membership organisation. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy by developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.
The successful candidate will be focused on helping us expand our membership base via the acquisition of new partnerships that contribute to the organisation's success.
London based – Hybrid working
Roles & responsibilities:
- Support the business development strategy, including the development and delivery of our proposition for key accounts
- Lead the relationship management of our key accounts
- Identify potential and deliver future account plans, activities and initiatives which deliver value to these relationships
- Manage internal relationships, as part of a matrix team working to deliver the employer proposition for our key accounts
- Working with team leads, identify opportunities to expand existing relationships, identifying products and solutions to meet the needs of our membership
- Support the head of business development to manage strategic and sensitive relationships, outside of identified high-profile multinational accounts
- Develop a compelling product and services which meet the needs of our clients, formalise relationships and provide additional income
- Raise and maintain awareness of the importance of the organisation
- Share knowledge and insight of our membership to maximise revenue and sponsorship income
- Based on insights, stimulate cross-organisational discussion and future thinking to identify opportunities and risks across our key accounts
- Gather market intelligence to inform market planning, opportunities and risks within our key account and member market
Skills & experience:
- Strong commerciality with demonstrable business development experience and success within the financial services sector
- Demonstrable ability to build and manage effective, working relationships with C-level executives and the wider organisation
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to get to grips with complex technical information and to communicate this effectively to a range of audiences
- The ability to give excellent presentations, tailored to the relevant audience
- Proficient in MS applications: Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Prior knowledge of selling into and consulting with large organisations – nice to have
- Ability to build on existing networks in the region to support the objectives of this role – nice to have
- Understanding of the professional qualifications environment – nice to have
