Java Engineering Chapter Lead

For one of our customers in central London, we're currently recruiting for a Java Engineering Chapter Lead on a contract basis (6 months - Inside IR35).
The objective of this position is to oversee and guide a team of Java Engineers in implementing modifications across our suite of Java applications, prioritising both excellence and efficiency. This role plays a pivotal part in strategic technological guidance for our Java technologies and operational frameworks.
You will have;
- Proficient understanding of Java technology and engineering best practices.
- Familiarity and proficiency in utilizing tools like Jira, Confluence, and various engineering development tools.
- Experience in line management, coaching, mentoring, and fostering sustainable and high-performing capabilities.
- Understanding of various architecture patterns, with an awareness of their respective advantages and trade-offs (including microservices, event-driven, hexagonal, and cloud-native)
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design principles, practices, and patterns.
- Authorship and contribution to technical standards and technology roadmaps implemented and utilized across the company
