Our client is a dynamic, mid-sized financial services firm. With a proven track record of delivering innovative financial solutions, the company is positioned for growth and seeks a strategic, results-oriented Finance Director/CFO to guide the next phase of its evolution.


Role Summary:

The Finance Director/CFO will provide strategic and operational leadership for all financial aspects of the company. You will play a critical role in driving the organisation’s financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting sustainable growth. This role requires a proactive leader with a commercial mindset and a deep understanding of the financial services and lending landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and lending-specific laws.
  • Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and capital management to meet operational and strategic requirements.
  • Develop funding strategies and relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, the board, and external stakeholders.


Key Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with a strong academic background.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or senior financial leader within the financial services sector (preferably lending).
  • Experience leading strategic financial planning and managing complex financial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
  • Commercially astute with a focus on driving profitability and growth.
