Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for a Senior Stock Controller to be based at our UK sites - Rocksavage, Runcorn and Thornton Science Park.
Main Purpose
End-to-end management of the 152A flow of material from raw material / flow of material through plant / package & ISO tank availability / management of 3rd party suppliers, in partnership with Logistics Manager / S&OP / Transport Engineering / Plant Operations Team. Expectations to undertake activities of stock control and to delegate and coordinate with others. Guide a team of stock controllers.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure Stock Controllers complete financial & S&OP monthly reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with and manage third party suppliers such as logistics companies and repacking sites to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials.
- Provide cover within the logistics / stock control team as required.
- Adhere to export and import regulations to ensure that empty tanks and full product tanks follow correct procedures.
- Supplier costs are monitored and managed, approved and authorised for payment as required.
- Strong planning and management skills whilst working with limited supervision.
- Effective prioritisation and timely deliveryof multiple objectives.
- Effective support for Stock Control team.
- Accountable for end-to-end 152A Process.
- Support Logistics Manager in logistics rates process.
- Support in various audit related activities.
- Establish great working relationships with various internal teams.
Qualifications
Desirable: Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge/ Experience Required
- 1-3 years of stock control / supply chain activity.
- Experience working with S&OP & plant production teams.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, both written and oral, and excellent organisational skills.
- Able to demonstrate an appetite of continuous improvement.
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work on multiple activities at one time.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and software packages – the role uses Excel & SAP extensively.
- Experience of taking information from multiple sources & then manipulate to give clear and conclusive outputs.
- Experience supervising a team would be desirable.
