What you’ll be doing:
As a member of a dynamic major programme team, you will be responsible for managing the scope of contracts. Your role will involve collaborating with the management team to achieve the overall objectives of the Profit Centre and Business Unit by promoting high standards of safety, work quality, and continuous improvement in processes and operations.
- You will hold commercial responsibility for the project, which includes overseeing cash flow and collections, as well as developing and delivering budgets aligned with forecasts and expectations
- Building and nurturing relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out and developing new business opportunities will be key components of your responsibilities
- Your focus will be on enhancing efficiency to improve project performance and profitability
- You will manage an operational workforce across various disciplines and oversee the management and control of subcontractors, including those involved in builder works, joinery, civil works, and asbestos handling
- It is essential to ensure that tasks are clearly instructed and communicated to the workforce, with continuous evaluation and reporting back to the client
- You will also be responsible for managing health and safety standards on-site, ensuring that work is performed safely, and implementing reasonable and practical measures to protect all parties involved
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Demonstrable track record in LV Project Management
- HV experience would be preferred but not essential
- Civils experience would be preferred but not essential
- Must have gained either IOSH Manging safely or Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate (SMSTS)
- Highly motivated self-starter with a passion and interest in serving customers and exceeding expectations
- Interpersonal skills at all organisational levels, with the ability to motivate people and engender a culture of team working to achieve the aims of the business
- Proven commercial knowledge, excellent negotiation skills and experience
- The ability to work under pressure
Job Role:
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the project's planning, management, and financial oversight. It is essential to engage all stakeholders, facilitate effective communication, monitor progress, implement changes as necessary, and submit reports in alignment with the project's requirements.
A key component of this role will involve managing a team that delivers on existing framework contracts for various Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and private clients.
