Contract Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commercial and Finance Contract and Supplier Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships and strategies, overseeing the commercial management of third-party contracts, supporting business case development, and enhancing our budget management and business support processes.
Supplier Relationship Management and Strategy:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure strategic alignment and mutual benefit.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, service, and capacity.
- Implement and manage supplier performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with my client objectives.
Commercial Management of Third-Party Contracts:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of DEU commercial relationships with third parties, including negotiation, implementation, and ongoing management of contracts.
- Ensure that contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and align with DEU strategic goals.
- Manage risks associated with third-party engagements and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Handle contract management of the broadcast network due to the IT Shared Service (ITSS) transition, managing the technical provisions of broadcast contracts between the Client and suppliers.
- Ensure the Transport for London (TfL) IT Shared Service (ITSS) Working Arrangements align with the TfL HR Shared Service (HRSS) Working Arrangements with the Client.
Business Case Development Support:
- Collaborate with various DEU leads to develop and refine business cases, focusing on financial and commercial viability.
- Provide expert advice on cost-benefit analysis, return on investment, and other financial metrics to support decision-making processes.
Budget Management Process and Framework:
- Work closely with the Clients finance department and DEU budget holders to establish and maintain a robust budget management process and framework suitable for the DEU.
- Ensure the integration of budget management with overall client’s business planning and financial systems, enhancing reporting and governance.
Improvement of Business Processes:
- Lead initiatives to improve the effectiveness of purchase orders and overall business process management.
- Implement best practices in procurement and financial management to optimize operational efficiency and outcomes
