Junior SIEM Cybersecurity Consultant

We are a Cybersecurity Consultancy offering end-to-end SIEM services, helping clients design, deploy and optimise security monitoring / threat detection solutions. Our team provides comprehensive support across all stages of SIEM implementation from initial strategy and solution design to deployment and ongoing management. Our focus is on delivering tailored solutions that enhance security postures, maintain compliance and provide actionable threat intelligence.
Our ethos is to recruit more junior level staff, provide first class training, hands-on experience and then promote staff from within. Therefore we are seeking a client-focused Junior SIEM Consultant with a foundation in SIEM (security information & event management) or SOC (security operations centre) environments, who has Cyber, Threat Detection and/or Cloud Security experience.
In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their security needs, provide guidance on SIEM architecture and design tailored solutions across platforms. You will need to have experience of one of the following: Splunk, Elastic SIEM, IBM QRadar, ArcSight, Microsoft Sentinel, Google Chronicle, Exabeam, Securonix, Sumo Logic, Devo, Hunters, Crowdstrike / Humio, Datadog) and, familiarity with cloud security tools such as AWS GuardDuty, Azure Security Center and/or Google Cloud Security etc.
You will participate in hands-on configuration and optimization as needed but with a primary focus on advising clients, developing design strategies - ensuring their security objectives are met and comfortable in a consultative, client-facing role. Knowledge of cloud security, response frameworks and industry compliance standards will be advantageous.
You will be a Computer Science / Cybersecurity type graduate with a 2:1 / first or similar. This could be your second or third role, with 12 or 50 months experience - however, we are really looking for articulate, bright, good communicators and proactive problem solvers. You will enjoy working with people. This is a hybrid role, office based 2 / 3 days a week and so you must live within commuting distance of BS8, Bristol.
