Overview: The Creative Director, Art (CDA) is accountable for ensuring that all creative work is of the highest caliber for all accounts. The CDA will be responsible for elevating and maintaining the quality of all work for CLS partners and the company brand itself, acting as a mentor for the graphics team and identify opportunities for career development within the team.


We are a remote-first organization, so you can work from anywhere in the US (preferably East Coast). Cactus Life Sciences is currently looking to add self-motivated, entrepreneurial members to its team. This is an opportunity to grow your career and make a greater impact on the lives around you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead concepting initiatives, contributing creative and cutting-edge designs, evaluating work, and pitching and presenting to client.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop proactive recommendations relative to client priorities/opportunities/pipelines/events.
  • Remain current of creative trends within and outside of the med affairs landscape and recommend new technologies/platforms/formats to grow business.
  • Consistently evaluate opportunities for improvements and offer executable solutions.
  • Understand gaps within the graphics teams and proactively work to identify solutions.
  • Directly oversee Design Managers and act as a gatekeeper to ensure that all deliverables reflect CLS creative vision and effectively communicate messages to target audiences.
  • Ensure design teams are up-to-date on innovation and market shifts.
  • Exemplify a solid knowledge of a multitude creative formats, from static PPT slides to 3D animation and VR, and understand where each may or may not be applicable with regard to clients needs, budgets, and preferences.
  • Work as a team with scientific writers to develop concepts.
  • Demonstrate ability to think both big and small picture.
  • Collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude and exemplify the CACTUS values at all times.
  • Remain aware of capacity utilization and revenue targets and help the team prioritize and pivot as needed.
  • Inspire direct reports to learn, teach, and mentor. Lead from the top down.
  • Work closely with leadership team to keep delivery heads briefed on major creative projects in a timely manner and contribute to achieving departmental goals.


Experience:

  • College degree.
  • 10+ years of healthcare agency experience.
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office.
  • Exemplary creative portfolio.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication and presentation skills.
