Data Engineer

Synapri are currently working with a leading Public Sector Organisation to hire a Data Engineer on a hybrid contract basis.
This role will require travel 3 days per week to one of the client offices, these are in Newcastle, Coventry and London. The successful applicant must be commutable to one of these offices.
The successful applicant will be:
- Responsible for the the development, implementation, review and establishment of data techniques
- Developing data pipelines, processing data, and preparing data suitable for analysis
- Evaluating and maintaining existing data pipelines, data models and storage solutions
- Ensuring the infrastructure and methodology is secure and scalable within the Azure cloud.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Azure tech stack (Data Factory, Data Lakes, Synapse Warehouse)
- Experienced with varied data sources (On-Prem, data lakes, ERP systems etc)
- Confident with API integration
- Able to perform complex data transformation using PySpark, SQL etc.
- Experienced with data modelling and warehousing
