Senior Network Architect

About the Role
As the Senior Network Architect, you will drive the strategy and execution of network security initiatives across a complex, large-scale environment. Your role will involve leading a highly skilled team, setting standards for network security design and engineering, and overseeing the implementation of advanced security solutions. This position requires deep expertise in Infoblox, Zscaler, F5, and Fortigate firewalls, particularly from a design and engineering perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the network security architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overall security objectives.
- Design and oversee the implementation of secure network solutions, focusing on resilience, scalability, and future-proofing.
- Lead a team of network security engineers, setting direction and providing technical mentorship.
- Drive the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of Infoblox, Zscaler, F5, and Fortigate firewall solutions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks within the network infrastructure.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network security to continually enhance the organisation’s capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in a senior network security role, ideally within a large-scale enterprise or institution.
- Expertise in Infoblox, Zscaler, F5, and Fortigate firewalls, particularly in design, engineering, and deployment.
- Proven track record in network architecture and security strategy development.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performance technical teams.
- Excellent understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.
Desired Skills
- Industry certifications such as CCIE Security, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud networking security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management.
