FLEXI WORKING ROLES & COMPANY CULTURE
These are UK based roles, so you’ll need to live (or relocate to live) and pay tax in the UK, but are hybrid working roles, so you’ll need to be able to
- Get into their Central London HQ 1-2 days per week
- With the other 3-4 days working from home (although you can work from their London or other offices 5 days per week if you prefer to go into the office)
- There will be some face-to-face time spend on client site in London or other parts of the UK but this will be a maximum of 1 day per week and most likely less

ENERGY / COMMODITY TRADING ADVISORY PROJECTS
You’ll be joining a commodity trading advisory practice, so these are NOT IT related roles at all, they’re Commodity Trading Back Office, Middle Office & Front Office advisory roles, advising clients on a range of trading and trading support issues, regulation, risk reporting, compliance, helping them to set up new trading desks in new geographies, helping to set up new commodities to be traded etc.
You’ll work with some of the largest Oil & Gas Majors, Utilities and Commodity Trading Houses on a range of issues, with most clients being focused on Oil, Natural Gas, LNG, Power and Metals Trading, but they do also have some Emissions, Carbon and Agricultural Commodity clients as well.
CAREER PATH
Historically, this Big 4 consultancy has hired a lot of graduates who have then progressed through the business, staying and progressing right up to Equity Partner, but they are also very proactive in hiring dynamic, smart Energy or commodity Trading professionals from industry and other consultancies to enter at Consultant, Senior Consultant etc grade.
This is very much a career opportunity, so is ideal for someone maybe working for a trading business (client) as an energy or commodity trading back office or middle office analyst or front office analyst (so maybe Credit Risk Analyst, Market Risk Analyst, Operational Risk Analyst, Demand Forecasting Analyst, Shift Trader, Traders Assistant, ETRM BA or PM etc) who wants a more varied and dynamic role, broadening their client exposure, learn how other trading businesses work, whilst working for a Top 50 UK company to work for.
You could also be working for another consultancy doing similar commodity trading advisory consulting, or even work in ETRM or other energy trading IT consulting or energy trading audit consulting, but want to move away from IT / audit into a more pure energy trading advisory role.
MONEY & PROGRESSION
- Salaries range based on grade but circa £50k-80k basic + bonus + benefits
- On joining, you will have a training program and career progression program built for you, so you can see what areas you need to progress and develop.
- Every 6 months you’ll be considered for a salary increase and promotion
